This initiative is held in the frame of WP4: The Alliance as an engine for Human Capital of the Research component of ERUA, the European Reform University Alliance, funded by European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (agreement No 101035808) by researchers, managers and experts at the University of the Aegean in collaboration with Paris8 University, Roskilde University, University of Konstanz, and New Bulgarian University.
The 5th goal of the Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by the General Assembly of the United Nations in 2015, addresses Gender Equality and aims to ensure women and girls’ equal access to quality education, economic resources, and political participation, equal opportunities for employment, leadership and decision-making at all levels, as well as the elimination of all forms of gender discrimination and violence.
The online Workshop on Gender Inequality in Workplace aims to bring together women from businesses, public organizations and Authorities, NGO’s and academia to share their job experience highlighting gender barriers they confronted in workplace and proposing solutions to overcome socially constructed gender roles as well as to help women (refugees and migrants) to integrate to workplaces, to achieve higher- paying jobs, to have opportunities for promotion and leadership.
Past-President Aline Aubertin will represent Femmes Ingenieures and share a paper.
